When my Basics of Biblical Greek started to gain popularity, I saw the need for an intermediate grammar. I wanted one that was excellent, but I also wanted one that my grammar could flow into. One of the most frustrating aspects to my experience in second year Greek was having to relearn so many things from first year. I didn't want my students to have those same issues.

However, instead of trying to do it myself, I met with Dan and quickly learned his work (that had been in process for many years) was much better than any one I could write, and thankfully Zondervan and he came to an agreement for publishing it. This is the intermediate grammar to buy!

As an interesting aside, Dan and I have known each other since almost our birth; our parents were good friends at the church. Rumor has it that Dan's mom has a picture of the two of us playing in the sandbox together when we were 2 years old. I've got to get that picture!

Also, Dan is now running a non-profit organization (csntm.org) committed to taking high resolution digital pictures of unrecorded Greek New Testament manuscripts. The Greek Orthodox Church and he have a wonderful relationship and Dan is hard at work (along with his teaching responsibilities at Dallas Theological Seminary). Check out the website and support it if you can.

Publisher's description

21895: Greek Grammar Beyond the Basics Accurate Greek interpretation of biblical texts requires that grammar be viewed within the framework of context, lexeme, and other linguistic features. Exploring numerous syntactical categories, Wallace's textbook equips intermediate students with the skills they need to interpret Scripture in a way that is faithful to its meaning. Includes syntax summaries; and subject, Greek word, and Scripture indices.
