Support Ministry

John Piper is one of my favorite authors. He has had more influence on my thinking than almost anyone else. And so I am predisposed to enjoy anything he writes.

Having made that disclaimer, I must say this is one of his most powerful books I have read. There is a lot of typical "Piper" in it -- God is most glorified when we are most satisfied with him -- but this book reads a little different. It is not quite as “thick” and slow to read. While it makes its point well, it is not a hard read. Its thrust is to challenge people to not waste their life pursuing goals that are less than the greatest goal of all — enjoying and magnifying God.
